About Isn’t that Sewing Patterns
Digital patterns are delivered as a zip file containing multiple PDFs. This page will help you understand more about PDF’s and Zip files and how you will use them.
Upon purchase, you will receive a link to download the Zip files containing the pattern and a file containing any necessary instructions. This link will be available right on the checkout page. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail that contains the same link to download. When you click the link, the download will automatically begin. If you cannot find your file, please check your download folder, as many systems are set up by default to automatically save downloads into that specific folder. Please note; you can download the file a maximum of 3 times. Please make sure to save all files on your computer, and back them up. Google Drive and Dropbox are a great alternatives to using an external hard drive.
Why is my test square to small?
In order to ensure your digital pattern is printing true to size, always print just the PDF page with the test square before printing the entire pattern. The test square should always measure 2 inches square. If it does not, something has gone wrong and you’ll need to try again.
By default, most applications will scale the pages of the file to “fit to page”. For digital patterns, this is not good as it will alter the size of the finished product. Before you print, check your print setup options and make sure that the custom scaling is set to “100%” or “None”, depending on how the option is worded. I highly recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader to print all pattern files. Using Adobe will also allow you to print only one size! Follow the link below for a more detailed description on how to print your digital patterns to scale, as well as how to print only one size.

Why can’t I open my PDF Patterns using Windows 7
Occasionally, some versions of Windows 7 are unable to open ZIP files. If you are using Windows 7 and cannot open zip files, a third party app will help; in this case try using WinZip.
What is wide format printing?
Wide format printing is awesome if you have access to a wide format printer, a plotter, or if you have an awesome local copy shop. By printing in wide format, you can avoid printing and taping at home! How cool is that!? All of Isn’t that Sewing Patterns come with a wide format version, and will be clearly labeled as such.
What size paper do I use to print my PDF patterns?
Isn’t that Sewing Patterns are designed to print well on either US Letter or A4 paper. Please remember to always check the 2 inch square before beginning any work
Wide format files will print on 36 inch or A0 paper.
Help!? My bust|waist|hips are different sizes, what do i do!?
Isn’t that Sewing Patterns come in sizes 0-14. Should you happen to fall between sizes, as most of us do, it is really easy to use two different size to make sure the finished product will fit you like a glove! Simply, cut one size matching your measurements for the bust and one size matching your measurements for the hip. Using a ruler, draw a line between the two sizes to blend the lines. Make sure to use a curved pattern making ruler if the area is curved, or a straight ruler if it’s straight. If you don’t have pattern making rulers, you can purchase an awesome set here.
Please note; should you cut two sizes, it is recommended that you always sew fit muslin BEFORE cutting your final fabric.
